Johnson & Johnson Launches J&J Institute to Meet Evolving Needs of HCPs and Improve Patient Outcomes in South Africa and Globally
2017 saw Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices launch the J&J Institute – focused on increasing access to healthcare education to improve outcomes and enhance the patient experience, thereby helping to meet the evolving needs of healthcare professionals (HCPs) in a value-based care environment.
First launched in Hamburg, Germany, the Johnson & Johnson Institute fosters an environment of lifelong learning for generations of global clinical and administrative healthcare professionals throughout every stage of their careers. This new education brand represents the comprehensive professional education offering that Johnson & Johnson provides through its training centers – Ethicon, DePuy Synthes, Biosense Webster, CNV, ASP, Mentor, Vision Care, and others – as well as its online and in-person courses, remote courses and work with strategic educational partners across multiple specialties, including its 26 professional education facilities.
The J&J Institute offers the latest in educational resources, including live classes, app-based surgical and virtual reality simulation, online modules and videos, practice, anatomical and dry labs, ophthalmic chairs, as well as broadcasts to remote locations. The J&J Institute also serves the educational needs of more than 20 medical and surgical specialties, including Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery and Minimally Invasive Surgery.
The Johnson & Johnson Institute educates more than 125,000 HCPs globally each year, and offers educational options that suit every learning preference and schedule across multiple specialties and hundreds of procedures.
